Admission Requirements

Welcome to the WCS Family

Thank you for considering Wayne Christian School for your child’s education! We’re grateful you’re exploring how we might partner with your family in raising children who love Christ and are equipped to impact their world for Him.

Our admissions process is designed to ensure that WCS is the right fit for your family and that we can provide the support and partnership your student needs to thrive. Education works best when families and schools are aligned in mission and values, working together for the good of each child.

Who We Serve

Wayne Christian School partners with Christian families who:

Share Our Mission and Values

We exist to assist parents and churches in educating children from a Biblical worldview. This means at least one parent or guardian should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and actively attend a local church. We ask that families support our Christ-centered approach to education and our statement of faith.

Commit to Partnership

We view education as a collaborative effort. Families who thrive at WCS embrace partnership with our teachers and administration, actively participate in their child’s education, and support our policies and Biblical standards both at school and at home.

Desire Spiritual and Academic Growth

After we receive your complete application, we’ll schedule placement testing for students in grades 1-12. This 90-minute assessment helps us understand your child’s current academic level in reading, writing, and math. It’s not about passing or failing, Whether your child has attended Christian school before or is transitioning from public or homeschool education, we welcome families who want their children to develop both a strong academic foundation and a deepening faith in Christ.it’s about ensuring we can meet your child where they are and help them grow.

Academic Requirements

Age Requirements

  • Kindergarten: Students must be 5 years old by August 31 of the enrollment year
  • First Grade and Above: Students should be age-appropriate for their grade level

Academic Readiness

Students entering grades 1-12 will complete a placement test in reading, writing, and math (approximately 90 minutes). This helps us understand your child’s current academic level and ensure we can meet their educational needs.

We welcome students at various academic levels. Our goal is to understand your child’s educational level so we can support their growth. The placement test is not a pass/fail assessment but a tool to help us serve your family well.

These records help us understand your child’s academic journey and prepare to support them effectively from day one.

We require copies of:

  • Report cards from the last two years (or transcripts for students in 8th grade and higher)
