Technology Resources at WCS

Equipping Students for a Digital World with Biblical Wisdom

At Wayne Christian School, technology is a powerful tool that, when used wisely, can enhance learning, foster creativity, and prepare students to make a Christ-honoring impact in an increasingly digital world. Our approach to technology goes beyond simply providing devices; we’re committed to teaching students to use technology with purpose, discernment, and responsibility.

Our Technology Philosophy

Technology changes rapidly, but our mission remains constant: to partner with parents and churches in educating children from a Biblical worldview. We integrate technology thoughtfully into our curriculum, helping students develop the digital skills they need for college and career success while also cultivating wisdom about when and how to use these tools. Our goal is to raise digital citizens who honor God in both their online and offline lives.

Technology in the Classroom

Modern Learning Tools

Every classroom at WCS is equipped with interactive technology designed to bring learning to life. Each classroom features either a Mimeo smartboard or a Boxlight interactive flat-panel display, allowing teachers to create engaging and dynamic lessons that capture students’ attention and deepen their understanding.
Students in all grades use Chromebooks to access educational resources, including:

  • Google Classroom for assignments and collaboration
  • The Google suite for projects and presentations
  • Educational games and e-books
  • Subject-specific learning platforms

1:1 Chromebook Program

Our high school operates with a 1:1 Chromebook model, meaning every high school student is assigned their own Chromebook to use both at school and at home throughout their high school years. This approach helps students develop independence, responsibility, and essential digital literacy skills they’ll need for college and beyond.
All school-managed Chromebooks are monitored using the GoGuardian platform, which provides a safe browsing environment and enables teachers to guide students toward appropriate content.

Digital Learning Support

Our Digital Learning Specialist works closely with teachers and students to ensure technology enhances the learning experience. Whether troubleshooting technical issues, training teachers on new tools, or assisting students in navigating digital resources, our technology team is here to support the WCS community.
