College Counseling at Wayne Christian School
Guiding Students Toward Their God-Given Purpose
The transition from high school to college is one of the most significant milestones in your child’s life. At Wayne Christian School, we understand that choosing the right college path involves more than just test scores and applications; it’s about discerning God’s unique calling for each student and equipping them to thrive in whatever comes next.
Our college counseling program assists families throughout the entire college planning journey, from freshman year exploration through senior year decisions. We partner with you to help your student find the best academic, spiritual, and personal fit, ensuring they’re prepared not just to succeed in college, but to continue growing in their faith beyond our walls.

Preparing Students for Success in College and Beyond
What sets our college counseling program apart is our commitment to preparing students for thriving, not just surviving in college. Students graduate from WCS with:
Academic Readiness
Our rigorous curriculum, including Honors and Advanced Honors tracks, ensures students are prepared for college-level coursework. Through dual enrollment partnerships with Judson College at Southeastern and Wayne Community College, many students begin earning college credit while still in high school.
Spiritual Grounding
We help students find colleges where their faith can continue to flourish, whether at Christian universities or secular institutions where they can be a light for Christ. Our students leave equipped with a Biblical worldview that helps them navigate challenging ideas and diverse environments.
Clear Purpose
Through four years of intentional guidance, students learn to discern their God-given calling and choose college paths that align with how the Lord has wired them to serve.
Life Skills
Beyond academics, our students develop the character, integrity, and independence necessary to make informed decisions, manage their time effectively, and foster healthy relationships in college.
Resources and Support
The Office of Curriculum and Advisement provides comprehensive resources for students and families, including:
- Grade-specific planning guides for freshman through senior year
- SAT/ACT registration and preparation information
- NCAA Eligibility Center guidance for student-athletes
- Transcript request services for college applications
- Alumni transcript services for graduates needing additional documentation
We also maintain strong relationships with college admissions representatives who visit our campus, giving students direct access to information about the schools they’re considering.
A Track Record of Success
Our graduates attend a wide range of colleges and universities, from small Christian liberal arts colleges to large state universities, and consistently report feeling well-prepared for the academic and spiritual challenges they encounter. The foundation built at WCS serves them well as they pursue their calling in fields ranging from ministry and education to medicine, business, engineering, and beyond.
“The college counseling support I received at WCS helped me find a school where I could grow both academically and spiritually. Mrs. Satterfield didn’t just help me get into college; she helped me figure out where God was calling me to serve.”
